5D M2 - Live View and then Starting/Stopping HD video

Postby rmbraun51 » Wed Mar 10, 2010 8:24 am

Hello All

I am very new to using the SDK. I have a 5D M2 that I am using for some research. I need to start and stop HD video capture under remote control. I would be very happy for some pointers to do it. I am familiar with C# and VB.

Many thanks

Rob

I have not anything with starting and stopping video capture through the EDSDK. But I see you can set the camera to video using the kEdsPropID_DriveMode property using the value 0x00000002. Unfortunately that is all that is mentioned in the documentation (searching "video").

I suspect you can start and stop it using the button press command and then locate the video file in the camera's file system and download it.

hope this helps to get you started!
